Both these projects were inspired by the disco era during the late 1970's. All the fabric was hand dyed using acid dye. The velvet was immersion dyed for a solid color and the chiffon and silk tapestry were both ice dyed. The velvet and chiffon I then used to create my own original design inspired by the 1970's. The silk tapestry was beaded and embroidered after multiple layers of dye had been added.
